Comments for the authors (shown to authors)

This paper presents a very preliminary stage within a research project. There are many expressions like “probably”, “likely”, “possibility”, “is supposed to”, with lack of hypotheses and explanations. The research problem is not stated. Both the title and abstract misrepresent the results indicated in the problem. It is not clear if the objective of the research is a new mathematical model, or the validation of such model, or to optimize Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell operational conditions. Methodology is missing. Discussion beyond mere description is missing as well. The quality of written and visual aspects also indicates a very early stage developing the firrst draft of a paper. Figures´captions are unclear. Methane-water ratios are not explained adequately. Regarding the model, why are not all experiments suitable for modelling comparison?
In summary, this promising research requires more time and further conceptualization to settle as a research output.

ABSTRACT
Abstract – (Max. 250 words)

The article presents the possibility of fueling a molten carbonate fuel cell with a mixture of methane and steam to perform internal steam methane reforming on anode of the fuel cell. Due to the fact that the optimal operating temperature of MCFC fuel cell is 650°C and the steam reforming process of methane using pure nickel (anode material) as a catalyst takes place at higher temperatures, it seems interesting to test the fuel cell and the reforming process in a non-optimal temperature ranges. The aim of the study is to determine the temperature at which it will be possible to operate of MCFC fuel cell and to carry out the steam reforming of methane. The tested temperature range was from 650°C to 750°C. Testing higher temperatures was not possible due to the limitations associated with the laboratory stand.

The article also presents a mathematical model of a molten carbonate fuel cell operation and a model of the steam reforming process of methane taking place at the anode of this cell. A reduced order model was used to describe molten carbonate fuel cell operation and kinetic model for methane steam reforming.

PUBLICATION OPTIONS
HTML BlockAfter the conference, selected papers (by the reviewers) will be recommended for possible publication in special issues of some scientific journals (https://ecos2023.com/journal-publication). Note that they have to be reviewed based on journal regulations.
All registered and presented papers will be published in a Book of Proceedings. For this issue, two options are possible:
A. Book 1: Book of Proceedings with ISBN, but just as a pdf file, which will be made available to participants at the Conference. With option A your work will not be accessible on-line.
B. Book 2: Online Book of Proceedings, with the possibility of being indexed in SCOPUS, where each paper will have a doi.
We choose:Book 1
